Exemple
With
the passage of regulation (EC) 1192/2008 of the
European Commission, Sigma-Aldrich Chemie GmbH,
immediately recognized the potential savings of
implementing an SASP (Single Authorization for
Simplified Procedures) solution, within the company,
and began searching for a centralized customs
solution that could accommodate our needs. In
reviewing the regulations and in looking at the
countries participating in multilateral dialog,
it became evident that Sigma needed to find a
certified partner, for the application process,
that could accommodate both customs declarations
and indirect tax filings in both the UK and Germany.
Due to the extensive experience of MIC with SASP,
in both Germany and Britain, Sigma Aldrich has
chosen MIC as its' customs software provider for
SASP. Within a few months of deciding upon a solution
provider and implementation, Sigma-Aldrich Chemie
GmbH, which has a relatively large volume of entries
and numerous items to classify is seeing tremendous
benefits to the new solution, including:
- More efficient and flexible customs clearance
via one customs office, for goods physically entering
both the UK and Germany.
- Centralized operations, allowing for a reduction
in office space, manpower, computer hardware/software
- Communication only with own customs authority
concerning the release of goods as well as all
decisions and notifications.
- Minimized inquiries by the customs authorities,
as officials become more aware of Sigma’s
products, business and classifications.
